My Two Cents, Year 4: Part 21

Well, it was a big-budget Hollywood musical, so I can only assume it’s a perfectly accurate presentation of Margaret Brown’s life. So, the fact that she could fly and shoot laser beams out of her eyes was really interesting to learn. Somebody should probably update wikipedia.

You don’t even want to knoooow how many times I’ve watched this…

…in my history classes growing up. And let me assure you, it is 100% accurate! They’re actually running some kind of wacky revisionist version of the play in Denver right now. No lasers, no flying! I for one think it’s an outrage.

So was Molly Brown like Colorado’s Oregon Trail? I learned an awful lot about people leaving my hometown and the wide variety of goods that could be put in tiny, colorful boxes.

Don’t forget the wastefulness of pioneers. I learned that it’s impossible to resist shooting dozens of bear and buffalo on a given hunting trip, then cutting the leg off one of them and bringing it back while the rest rots in the sun.

You shot 2378 pounds of meat! However, you could only bring 100 pounds back to the wagon, you piece of shit.

And I would! I’d be such a bad pioneeress! I’d waste all my bullets shooting at squirrels and rabbits because I’d feel too bad about shooting bahrs. I would starve, and Debbie Reynolds would laugh and call me a stupid twat.
