Police, Adjective (Poliţist, adj., 2009) – There is a certain glacial pace, unique to European film. It is exacerbated by long, unbroken stakeout scenes, long, unbroken eating-dinner scenes, and long, unbroken waiting-in-a-waiting-room scenes. This movie has all that and more. The linguistics nerd in me loves the long, unbroken dictionary scene, though, so it’s alright.
